Well, living in India it is not uncommon to spend nights without electricity. Here I am going to narrate an incident when we were having a late evening celebration and the power went off. Actually, last month it was my brother's birthday and he invited his friends to stay over for late evening celebrations. We had planned to dance on loud music after cake ceremony, watch late night movie and play computer games all night long and we all were super excited about it. However, as my brother blew the candles during the cake ceremony the power went off due to short circuit. It was around 9 pm so it was not possible to get the problem fixed and we had to managed without electricity. our plan was completely ruined. Yet, we kept the celebration on. His friend Simran is a good singer who sang many songs and we kept dancing for a long time. Luckily, the weather changed and it started to rain so we decided to sit in the balcony to enjoy gossips in pleasant weather. We also enjoyed the snacks that we had prepared. And it was more like a candle light dinner for us. Now, it was around 2am and we were all tired and in no time, we felt asleep. But, I can say we had more fun that we could had watching movies and playing games. Overall, it was the night we spend without electricity.

Ans1. It's quite obvious for people to get disappointed and irritated whenever there is a power cut, because whatever they do depends on electricity. For example, watching tv for the entertainment, using computer for work or using house hold devices for domestic chores.

Ans. Frankly speaking, it is the duty of the common people to save the electricity by doing so. They can not only contribute to save the environment but also reduce their electricity bill.

An5 Unfortunately the demand for power is increasing dramatically But, the conventional sources such as coal and petroleum are diminishing As a result, it is predicted that in future there will be a power shortage.

An6 I think, it is the need of the time because the way conventional sources are running out. It is very important to explor alternative sources such as solat, wind, tidal. geothermal and others to ensure the constant supply of energy in times to come.
