It is so hard to find a person who doesn't like to receive gifts. Although there are few things that we may not like to receive as gifts but money is an exception. In my culture is not uncommon to gift money and here I would like share one such experience when I received a handsome amount of money as gift from my uncle. I vividly remember, it was my 16th birthday and I celebrating it with my friends and family as I had arranged a smal! party at my place. I received many gifts but the one that I can never forget is the surprise visit of my uncle who lives in America. He appeared without any intimation and I was so glad to see him after long time. He wished me happy birthday and said in haste he couldn't buy a gift for me and handed over me an envelope with 200 dollars inside. I was on cloud nine to receive it and the best thing was that he said I can spend it the way I want to. I was in those in dire need of sports shoes and the very next day I visited the Nike brand store there I saw many but I particularly liked one pair which was worth 14000rs. Without thinking twice, I purchased it since I has the almost same amount gifted by my uncle. I was grateful to my uncle because of whom I could buy my dream shoes. I also shared the photo of the shoes with my uncle and he was also happy with my choice and blessed me. Overall, it was the time I received money as gift.
