3. TALK ABOUT AN OBJECT YOU FIND
PARTICULARLY BEAUTIFUL.
COUNTRY
-What it is?
How it is made?
-When you tried it for the first time?
-Why you like it?
Well, I come from a country known for its rich culture and heritage and there are many traditional object of my country that originated in my country and the one that I would like to talk about is earthen pot. It is used in almost every part of my country especially by poor people who could not afford refrigerator to keep water cold. In fact, In past, it was the only option for people to store water. It is a unique pot made of clay on potter's wheel which can store water and keep it below room temperature for long hours. Such pots are easily available in every nook and corner of my country and come in variety of colour and shapes. Although, technology has developed greatly over the period but earthen pot are still widely used and the reason behind is that the water kept in these pots is quite health-giving as it has medicinal properties and the intake of this water help in improving digestion and cure other gastro problems We also use it on regular basis at home despite we have refrigerator The only problem with these pots is that they are extremely fragile and get broken frequently, but it is not a big deal to replace them as they are quite cheap to buy. In fact, foreigners on their visit to India.
often buy a small pot as a souvenir to keep memories of their visit. Overall, It is one traditional object that I really like.
FoLLOW UPS :-
Q Describe other traditional object of your country?
Ans! Well, India is known for its traditional products as it has a very rich history and culture so there are many other things from different states of India. For example, jewellery, silk and cotton clothes and there are other things from my Punjabi culture like Punjabi suits and hand-crafted wood as well as marble items are some of the major tradional objects of my country.
02. What are the benefits of traditional object to the locals?
Aus2 Well, the very first benefit of these products is that they help us to keep up our local culture because when people stop using the traditional products they get disconnected with their roots. In addition, in many parts of my country it has become a prime source of income as well because India is often visited by tourists from all over the world and tourists often buy these products while their visit to India so it has become a source of income for the locals as well.
03. Do you think the Government should help in the promotion of traditional products?
Ans. Why not! It's extremely important and I must say the government of India does it really well. Q4. Do you think because of globalisation countries are adopting each other's traditions?
Ans4. It is absolutely true and the reason behind is that the world has become a Global-village because of common language people are able to understand each other's customs and traditions and if they find other's traditions useful and practical they don't hesitate to adopt those.
Q5. Why do people buy traditional products because of traditional value or they are handmade?
Ans5. I can say that the main reason behind is their artistic value since they are handmade it means they are produced with lots of efforts and of course by talented artists. for example, travellers from the western countries get fascinated to see the handicraft or Indian traditional products which compel them to buy such products.
Q6. Do the traditional things from the past have more value than the present things?
Ans6. Up to some extent I agree considering the fact that these items are handmade. Because today we mostly use machine made products which are produced in huge quantities for that reason their prices are very low but when it comes to handmade products it takes a lot of time to produce them. For example, an Arabic carpet may take up to one year to produce and of course the cost of such a traditional product is definitely way higher than the modern ones.
Q7. Do you think teenagers should learn about traditions?
Ans7. Undoubtedly, it is the need of the time that we make teenagers understand the traditions because they are the one who would be keeping up these traditions and culture alive and pass it on to the next generation for that reason it's very important that they understand about the local traditions.
